Camera 4 – Samuel von Brukenthal
Governor of Transylvania and one of the most important figures in the cultural and political life of the country’s western region, Samuel von Brukenthal was a Saxon jurist, art collector, and founder of the Sibiu Museum, which still bears his name. His rise to the rank of baron was even supported by Empress Maria Theresa herself.
At Casa Kraus, the room named after him is one of the most spacious. It is no coincidence that this room features carefully restored antique furniture pieces.
